Managing Listings

Learn how to manage your service listings on DSX to maximize visibility and connect with more NDIS participants.

Understanding Listings

Your listing appears in the provider directory search results. It's how participants discover your services. A well-optimized listing includes:

  • Complete profile information
  • Accurate service categories
  • Up-to-date contact details
  • Clear service area coverage

Optimizing Your Listing

Service Categories

Select all relevant NDIS registration groups that apply to your services. This helps participants find you when filtering by service type.

Common categories include:

  • Daily Personal Activities
  • Community Participation
  • Therapeutic Supports
  • Transport
  • Supported Independent Living
  • Assistive Technology

Service Areas

Specify all postcodes and regions where you provide services. You can:

  • Add individual postcodes
  • Select entire suburbs
  • Choose regional areas
  • Indicate travel radius from your base

Age Groups

Indicate which age groups you serve:

  • Early childhood (0-6 years)
  • Children (7-12 years)
  • Adolescents (13-17 years)
  • Young adults (18-25 years)
  • Adults (26-64 years)
  • Seniors (65+ years)

Listing Status

Your listing can have different statuses:

  • Active - Visible in search results
  • Pending Review - Awaiting coordinator approval after changes
  • Unverified - Profile not yet claimed or verified
  • Inactive - Hidden from search (you can reactivate anytime)

Improving Search Visibility

To improve how often your listing appears in search results:

  1. Complete all fields - Profiles with more information rank higher
  2. Verify your profile - Verified providers are prioritized
  3. Use keywords naturally - Include relevant terms in your description
  4. Keep information current - Recently updated profiles perform better

Important: Ensure your contact information is always current. Participants may abandon enquiries if they can't reach you.

Temporarily Hiding Your Listing

If you need to temporarily hide your listing (e.g., at capacity, on leave):

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Select "Listing Settings"
  3. Toggle "Active Listing" off
  4. Your listing will be hidden but not deleted

You can reactivate at any time by toggling the setting back on.
