Notifications
Stay informed about important updates, messages, and activities on DSX through our notification system.
Notification Types
Account Notifications
- Welcome Email - Sent when you first register
- Password Changes - Confirmation when password is updated
- Account Updates - Important changes to your account
Provider Notifications
For verified providers:
- Profile Updates - When your profile is approved or needs changes
- Verification Status - Claim approval or rejection
- Profile Views - Weekly summary of profile activity
Member Notifications
For DSX members:
- New Surveys - When new surveys are available
- Wanted Ads - Responses to your posted ads
- Membership Status - Renewal reminders and updates
Notification Center
Access your notifications via the bell icon in the header
Notification Preferences
Customize which notifications you receive:
- Go to your account settings
- Select "Notification Preferences"
- Toggle notification types on or off
- Choose delivery method (email, in-app, or both)
Email Notifications
Control email frequency:
- Immediate - Receive emails as events occur
- Daily Digest - One summary email per day
- Weekly Summary - Weekly overview email
- Off - No email notifications (in-app only)
In-App Notifications
In-app notifications appear in the notification center:
- Bell icon shows unread count
- Click to view all notifications
- Mark as read or dismiss
- Click notification to go to related item
Managing Notifications
Mark as Read
Individual notifications can be marked as read by clicking on them or using the "Mark as Read" option.
Clear All
Use "Clear All" to remove all notifications from the notification center. This cannot be undone.
Notification History
View past notifications in Settings → Notification History. Notifications are retained for 90 days.
Important Notifications
Some notifications are marked as important and cannot be disabled:
- Security alerts (suspicious login attempts)
- Account suspension notices
- Policy updates requiring action
- Verification deadlines
Tip: Keep email notifications enabled for important updates to ensure you don't miss time-sensitive information.
Troubleshooting
Not receiving emails?
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Add noreply@dsx.org.au to your contacts
- Verify your email address is correct in settings
- Check notification preferences are enabled
Too many notifications?
- Switch to daily digest mode
- Disable non-essential notification types
- Use in-app only mode for less urgent items
